at COPO Press conference and Iftar at Little Pakistan in New York, Coney Island Avenue which lights up during Ramadan.
The iconic structures in the flickering light of the holy places including the Holy Quran are the best reflection of Islamic history, traditions and values with the message of Ramadan.The press conference attended by Councilor Ari Kagan, Councilwoman Farah Louis, Rita Joseph, other US officials, NYPD Muslim officers Society members and representatives of the Jewish community. Council woman Farah Louis also thanks the COPO’s chief Muhammad Rizvi for organizing such an amazing event.COPO Chief Muhammad Rizvi welcomes the participants and said we want other communities to be aware of our religious traditions and culture.
The participants added that it was a great pleasure to attend this event, it is important for brotherhood to promote religious harmony and tolerance.
A MOS member has said it was a necessary initiative and a unique way to introduce Islamic teachings to people of other faiths.
An Iftar was also organized on the occasion and sweets and chocolates were also distributed among the participants.
